About the Author
ANDREW SANSOM is Executive Director of the River Systems Institute at Texas State University-San Marcos. One of Texas's leading conservationists, he is a former executive director of both the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and the Texas Nature Conservancy, as well as the founder of the Parks and Wildlife Foundation of Texas.

Thorough, intelligent, accessible. Dr Sansom lays out the background and the issues that must be addressed in Texas if we are to have adequate water resources in the near future. Taught me a lot. I will use this as a reference for years to come.
