Nature prose at its finest

Pete Dunne is perhaps the pre-eminent nature writer today, and before the echo does nothing to disappoint those who have discovered his flowing prose. "Before The Echo" is an intimate portrait of various facets of the natural world in tightly worded essays. The book is a delight to read and it makes you want to go outside and look for the beauty that Dunne conveys so eloquently. I think this is what Pete had in mind.

Peter Dunne is noted for his books on birding, this book is about the other animals,plants,and insects you see when you actually go into the outdoors. There is a growing deficit in this country of being OUTDOORS! When some people do go out of their steel cocoons or giant houses they have to have music or phone with them. Thus, shut off form any stimulus from nature they walk, talk and see nothing! This book describes what they miss. Read and be inspired to climb from you technology and see what nature inspires!

2003 CA Wildfires, this was one book I HAD to
replace. The sensitive style and ability
to see the world through another species' eyes
and ears make this a one of a kind experience.
