Eulogy for Haig, a Bulldog

This is a charming little book for a special audience. If you have lost a beloved dog, Robinson Jeffers' beautiful eulogy for the family bulldog Haig will touch and console you. It is a poem suffused with Jeffers' special love of natural things and his specific love of their companion. It can't fail to voice and echo the feelings of the bereft. This edition spreads the poem across a dozen pages with portraits of dogs on facing pages. I hesitated to buy it, but I'm glad I succumbed.

A little book with a big heart.

I have purchased extra copies of this little book to give when someone looses their "best friend". The sketches are lovely.
Our dogs give unconditional love and this poem captures that special bond by Jeffers. A wonderful way to say you understand.
It is written from the dog's point of view and touches the heart.
